Kate Stanley
I have worked in the Fitness Industry since July 2000. Always a keen gym user and regulary attending aerobic and Yoga classes.
It was in 2002 I found out I was pregnant with my daughter, immediatley I stopped exercising. During this pregnancy I felt awful, I did not enjoy being pregnant one little bit and put on 2 1/2 stone. When Néve was born, I was overjoyed but exhausted, the sleepless night where taking its toll. Having given up on my exercise I was feeling fat, tired and depressed. Looking in the mirror one day I thought "sort yourself out" So off to the gym I went. It felt great!!!!
18 months later I fell pregnant again, this time I was determined to keep exercising. Am I glad I did. This pregnancy was fantastic I put on just over 1 stone. I was attending LBT, Body Balance classes and gym sessions regularly untill I was 36 weeks pregnant. My labour was, sounds silly but "enjoyable". I can honestly say it didnt feel as though id had a baby, I was out food shopping the following day taking Néve tumble tots 3 days later and feeling great!
I truly believe that exercising helped me with my 2nd pregnancy.
It wasnt long after this I decided to become an aerobics instructor, progressing to Body Balance.
I decided I wanted to help new mums in some way.
So with my years of exercise experience and being a mum, I realised this was the area I wanted to go down.
So I now specialize in pre and postnatal exercise.
My aim is to help ladies to exercise safely and effectively throughout their pregnancy, help prepare them for their labour. Help postnatal mothers to enjoy there new bundle of joy, feel confident, regain their body shape, increase energy levels, meet new mums and have fun!
